Nursery Inspiration

Next month, Rudy and I are planning on setting up the bedroom for baby girl Zambrano. As I've mentioned previously, she isn't going to have her own room, and for now, she will be in the bedroom with us. We have a section in our bedroom that is going to be dedicated to her and we plan on adding some detail pieces on the wall just for her.

I never had any ideas as to how I wanted to decorate a nursery for her or in general. All I knew was that I wanted to keep it pretty calm, simple, neutral, with a girly touch. Over the last couple of months, I have been saving ideas from mamas on Instagram and I created an inspiration board on Pinterest with nursery decor that is similar to the style I'm aiming for. I'm not exactly sure what you'd call this style or vibe so you tell me what you'd consider it to be.

Little by little, Rudy and I have been picking things up for the day that we'll begin decorating the room. Above I have a vision board filled with inspiring photo ideas of how I would like to decorate the "nursery" for our baby girl. I can't wait until we get started, and I 'm anxious to see what the end result will be!

A few main pieces that I'm thinking of including in the room are:
-A bookshelf
-Shelves with decor pieces such as; a toy, a doll, framed ultrasound, plant, baby shoes
-A rug
-Possibly a mirror or two
-Handmade art piece(s) to hang on the wall
-A personalized item with her name
-A special knit doll
-Crib mobile/canopy
-Wall hook

I hope once we begin the decorating I will record the process so that I can share it with everyone along with the final room tour reveal. I'd love to hear what you'd like to see from me next whether it's on my blog or on Youtube. Until next time.
