Life Lessons

Growing up; oddly it's something you can not wait to do when you're a child and something you dread once you're an adult. Looking back to my teen years I remember thinking and telling myself how grown up I was and that I could do anything. As I grew older I realized how young I really …

Peach Picking

With Summer quickly approaching I have been wanting to go peach picking before the season is over. Last year, for our first fruit picking experience we went too late in the season for peaches and since then I kept telling Rudy we'd have to go super early come this year. Over the month we've been so busy every single weekend and on Sunday we finally left it open to find a farm of peaches. We ended up visiting Mike's U-Pick Peaches over at Brentwood, a small but adorable farm. Rudy and I managed to get our hands on some peaches, but sadly most of them were all picked and sold the day before. So unfortunate, however, we still managed to have had tons of fun. If you've never gone fruit picking I highly suggest you go to your local farm and do so, you won't regret it. We (or should I say Rudy) was on a roll with the camera and snapped tons of pictures that I'm so excited to share with you all today. Go grab yourself a slice of peach pie and enjoy these photos!

Milk Bar

Welcome to back to one of my Food Series post! Today we are visiting a sweet and savory shop called Milk Bar that I visited while in New York. Milk Bar first opened it's doors in 2008 and has been "shaking up the dessert scene" ever since. Milk Bar creates a variety of treats and is best known for its invention of the Compost Cookie, a naked layered cake (unfrosted sides), Cereal Milk soft serve, and Milk Bar pie. Bon Appetit magazine called them "one of the most exciting bakeries in the country". If you're ready, join me on my visit to Milk Bar!

Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Rudy and I made a trip to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum. We've both already been here countless times, we love it. The last time we visited was back in 2016 which means it's been nearly three years ago. I even shared an entire post on our last visit to the museum filled with tons of photos, make sure to check that out if you haven't already. I have been wanting to go back to the Walt Disney Family Museum ever since they announced their newest exhibition that is celebrating animation's most loved and recognizable character. Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World an original exhibition that shares the history of Mickey's impact on art and entertainment throughout the last nine decades. This exhibit features more than 400 objects, including some never before seen. I hope you are more than ready for today's post because I'm very excited to share another Disney related post. I welcome you to the Walt Disney Family Museum presentation of Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World.

Currently

Excited: for Summer! The weather in California lately has been weird, I can't even remember the last time it rained in May! I was looking forward to Springtime and the beautiful warm weather with a light breeze and it was just chilly. Now that we're in June it shows nothing but sun in the forecast up ahead and I'm so excited. I've already said it I don't like to get overly hot and feel uncomfortable but boy am I ready for that vitamin D. I have so many plans for the season like movie dates. There are so many movies coming to theaters this month. I've been wanting to go on a picnic with Rudy forever now, we only did that once and I loved it so much. I'm hoping to do that this Summer or maybe even do a picnic in our backyard. Over the weekend we set up a table and talked about all of the dinners we will be having out there soon. We've been wanting to go to SFmoma for months and with the clear skies, I can't wait to finally make a trip in the next coming weekends. Remember how much I enjoyed fruit picking? Well, Rudy and I have been talking about doing it again this Summer and I'm really hoping we get to do peach picking! That would be my dream come true haha. We even want to buy a pool and set it up in the backyard so we can have a nice afternoon taking a swim. Plus how fun would that be hanging-out out back with the dogs, BBQing, enjoying our dinner underneath the grape vines, while cooling down in the pool.

Color Factory NYC

It's finally here, the long-awaited post. Today I am finally sharing and talking about my visit to the Color Factory during mine and Rudy's trip to New York. What is the Color Factory? Well, it's a collaborative interactive exhibit with the most amazing color pallet, and filled with lots of fun projects inside. The Color Factory had its first debut in the August 2017 in San Francisco in which lasted for eight sold-out months. You can definitely say it was a success! In August 2018 the Color Factory found its new home in New York City. The new pallet consisted of brand new installments teamed up with some of their favorites designers and artists. If you're ready, welcome to the Color Factory.
