Stand Out Products In Beauty

In today's post, I wanted to share some stand out products that I have been consistently reaching for in the last few months. Since my last current favorites post, I have accumulated quite a few new products that I have absolutely been loving. I rarely share favorites posts anymore so I really want to take every opportunity I get to share the little products that I can't stop using. I have a variety of products to share that ranges from skincare, beauty, and of course hair. If you're excited to hear about the new products I have been swooning over then continue reading!

I'd like to begin with skincare. If you recall my beauty + hair wishlist you may remember me talking about the Summer Fridays Overtime face mask. I finally purchased it shortly after the post and I have been loving it. In July I decided to pick up their Jet Lag mask which is their hydrating face mask. I enjoy hydrating mask when my skin is feeling a bit dehydrated, on post blemishes to prevent dry spots, and as a treat to my skin, I apply a thin layer for overnight. Jet Lag claims to be a one of a kind hydrating mask that delivers rich hydrating and radiant complexion with just one use. I have fallen in love with it immediately after the first application. My skin is more plump and soft. This mask is filled with skin-loving ingredients and gives my skin a refreshing feeling upon application. Jet Lag is by far the best hydrating mask I have used and it's become a weekly essential in my skincare routine.

Over the last two months, I have been wanting to slowly add new products into my skincare routine. For some reason, I never thought that I would be purchase anything from The Ordinary but the Buffet sounded very intriguing. My skin was feeling a little dryer than normal, which isn't normal for me, and I came across this on Sephora. Buffet is a multi-peptide serum with hyaluronic acid, amino acids, syn-ake, matrixyl synthe-6, and bio derivatives that targets multiple signs of aging. It is also great for those seeking a solution for fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, dullness in the skin and uneven texture. Since I have been on an all and only Drunk Elephant skincare routine I was a little concerned with introducing this into my routine. However, after the first use, those concerns immediately subsided since my skin felt amazing. My skin looked noticeably different and was also left feeling soft. It's amazing that The Ordinary's products are made with such great ingredients for a fraction of the price compared to other brands. I feel that the Buffet will fit right in into my permanent line of skincare products. I get good use out of it in both the morning and night time.

Jumping into makeup since I actually have a few items to talk about. First up is the Nars Velvet Matte lipstick pencil in red square. If you follow me on Instagram, and if you've noticed a certain red-orange lipstick I have been wearing literally non-stop since before summer its this guy! I'm such a fan of red-orange and this lipstick is one of the best on the market. With this lipstick being in a pencil form it makes the application so easy and smooth to apply. I didn't think I would be a fan of a pencil based lipstick since it does require sharpening but it hasn't been a big deal. The lipstick is so soft and actually feels like velvet on the lips. It isn't drying at all. I can already see myself going through this lipstick and repurchasing. It looks like a lot of the products in today's post are items that have already become holy grails. As I have owned them for a few months I've been able to use everything and by now I know whether I truly love it or not.

I've been wanting to purchase a cream bronzer for quite some time now and honestly, I don't know what took me so long. Finally, at the end of July, I purchased the Milk Makeup matte cream bronzer in baked. This bronzer is a dream. It is the perfect shade for my pale skin and it blends out so effortlessly. I guess I was a bit intimidated with cream products but more specifically cream bronzer with a fear it wouldn't blend well. I was wrong about this beaut! I haven't had any issues with it looking patchy and I apply and blend it out before I apply any powder to my skin. I do also use the Elf stipple brush to blend this bronzer out and it works wonders. This bronzer lasts all day on my skin without any fading as far as I can tell. I own so many powder bronzers that I absolutely love and I now gravitate towards this so much more. It's perfect to use for whenever I have dry patches since it doesn't enhance it. I definitely see myself eventually only using cream products.

Since we're talking about cream products, I finally own a cream blush and I can't get enough of it. I had my eye on the Glossier cloud paint in beam ever since I started falling in love with cream products. Cloud paint has been so easy to use, I typically use a pea-size amount, mix/warm it up on my ring fingers, then tap it all over my cheeks. It really does blend out so easy and the shade beam is such a pretty peachy shade. I've been wearing it most of the summer and I really enjoy the way it lays on my cheeks. I swear I feel like it looks better as the day progresses. I would love to try out some more cloud paints in different shades especially one that is more of a fall shade.

Ending this post with a hair product. If you haven't noticed I have been talking a lot more about hair on my blog. I recently have been obsessed with Kristin Ess, specifically her blow dryer and dry shampoo. A few months back I purchased the cleansing conditioner. This shampoo is a shampoo and conditioner in one hence the name cleansing conditioner. I've never been a fan of a shampoo and conditioner duo since I like to have control over the amount of conditioner I apply to my hair. I decided to give this a try anyway since I heard Kristin Ess talking a lot about it on Lauren Conrad's podcast. I'm obsessed with the way my hair looks, feels, and smells after using this shampoo. It's so silky soft it's amazing. I have had other great shampoos that have also left my hair feel this way but there's something about Kristins Ess's products that leaves my hair feeling clean and good! Rudy even uses this on occasion and loves it. It is a bit different compared to your typical shampoo because it doesn't foam up, so if that is something you're used to it'll take some getting used to this different texture. Nonetheless, it's a great product for such a good price point. I've been looking into more of her products for me to try out. I plan on converting completely to Kristin Ess hair products only and once I run out of this shampoo I will purchase her individual shampoo and conditioner.

Share with me some of your current holy grail, stand out beauty products!
