Revisiting Old Favorites #2

I was planning on sharing a revisiting old favorites post every other month or so, and I didn't realize that it's already been four months since my first post of this series. I'm really enjoying looking back at my old favorite posts and observing what products I still own, use and love, and what products I no longer enjoy and got rid of. Today I'm sharing a few more items I fell out of love with, so if you're interested, let's go ahead and revisit some of my old favorites!

Glossier - Haloscope Highlighter in Quartz
This might not come as a surprise to you but since I shared the Glossier Haloscope highlighter in Quartz back in October 2017, it has been hands down my favorite highlighter since. It is my most used cream highlighter and never fails to give my skin a hydrated natural glow. Quartz is one of three shades in the Glossier cream highlighter selection and my favorite shade. When using this I swirl my ring finger directly on the product and then pat it to the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, and cupids bow. I fall in love with this highlighter more and more with each use. I can't express enough how stunning it looks of the skin due to the hydrating balm in the center of the stick. It makes my skin look so juicy and radiant. Also a little goes a long way. If you've been on the fence about trying a cream highlighter definitely give this one a try. I find it to be one of the best I've tried compared to a few others. If I had to choose five of my favorite Glossier products, this would without a doubt be included. Which reminds me, maybe I should do an updated top five Glossier picks?

Maybelline - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
Going way back to March 2016 when I shared the Fit Me matte + poreless foundation. In all honesty, I hardly remember much about this foundation. In my March favorites post where I featured this, I raved about how much I had been liking it because it kept my skin fairly matte without breaking me out like most drug store foundations tend to do. However, over time I realized it was indeed causing me to break out specifically below my jawline from where I would blend the foundation down my neck a bit. I remember passing it along to my sister and never even thought about it again. I think I will just stick to not using foundation and only spot concealing where I feel is needed.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Liquid Lipstick in Spicy
I absolutely loved the ABH liquid lipstick in Spicy for quite some time. I got so much use out of it since May 2016 it became my go-to for a good year or so! A red-orange lip is for sure my favorite lipstick to wear and I really liked this specific shade in a liquid lip because it lasted on me all day long with close to no touchups needed. With time I'm not exactly sure as to why I slowly neglected it. I accumulated more red-orange lipsticks which made for a much faster application. Also, after time the liquid lipstick began to dry out so every time I would apply it, it left my lips pretty dry and unflattering. I actually still have this lippy in my collection but I think it's time I toss it out since it has been some time since I've actually used it. I would say I still do love this liquid lip but I have been enjoying an actual lipstick bullet a lot more recently. This shade Spicy is out of this world stunning if it wasn't in a liquid lipstick form I would even buy that. I'm not a fan of liquid lipsticks as I once was, they're a bit too drying and I find a bullet way more convenient. If you're into liquid lipsticks for sure check this shade out!

Lush Cosmetics - Snow Fairy Body Conditioner
It was December 2016 when I discovered Snow Fair body conditioner from Lush and I've been in love with it ever since. I have continued to repurchase this body conditioner every Holiday season since and I recently ran out of my last Snow Fairy tub. I love Lush's body conditioner because it hydrates the skin so well. I've said it many times on my blog that my skin gets very sensitive from shaving especially in the summer months and the body conditioner nourishes my skin and leaves it feeling silky smooth. Snow Fairy is one of my favorite scents from Lush because of its yummy candy smell. I own a favorite of their body conditioners in different scents and they're just the best. If you have dry skin you have to pop into your local Lush stores and try them out. I can't wait for the Holiday season to approach so that I can stock up on Snow Fairy once again.

Tarte - Shape Tape concealer
Who remembers when the Tarte shape tape was all anyone was talking about back in 2016? I finally bit the bullet and purchased it in Spring of 2017 and for a good few months, I was in love with it. I loved it so much that I even wanted to purchase it in another color to use as a foundation. I honestly feel that with age and getting older I just don't like using makeup like I once used to. I began feeling that this concealer was way too heavy especially for my under eyes. I started to really dislike it because it looked and felt so thick on my face that I completely disregarded it. This probably also had a lot to do with me beginning to really embrace my skin and enjoy a more natural look. I guess I just fell in love with how my skin looked when I wasn't wearing this guy versus when I was wearing. I always felt like I needed to go wash my face because it just felt like too much in my personal opinion. It was good while it lasted.

What are some products you used to love that you no longer use? Have you used any of the products I shared in today's post?

    1. They're so good! I'm stocked on them for a few months but the holiday sale is the perfect time to stock up on some more. Yay to favorites posts! I went so long without posting one and I think I'm ready to write up another one since I've been using and loving quite a few new goodies. Can't wait to hear about your favorites.
