My Travel Makeup Line-Up!

I wasn't planning on sharing the makeup I'm taking to my trip to New York City but very last minute I decided to go on ahead and make a separate post for it. A lot of the products I travel with tend to change over time and at this point, I carry the least amount than ever before. (I expect this to be a quick and to the point kind of post!) In this post I wanted you guys, of course, to join me as I pack my makeup for my trip but to also show you all my essential makeup line-up.

Forwarning, a lot of the products in this post would have already been raved about in a past post at some point. When traveling I like to pack products I love and know I can trust to work, and products that will last on my face while I'm out and about discovering new places.
Starting off with a primer, I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter primer religiously since purchasing it. It has such a beautiful glow, makes my skin look naturally radiant, gives your skin a bit of coverage, and looks absolutely beautiful underneath your foundation/concealer. I'd typically favor a pore filling primer and wouldn't really consider this to be a primer necessarily. It acts like a light-radiant BB or CC cream, but I do love using this underneath my concealer.

As I've mentioned in the past I haven't been wearing foundation for a few years at this point. I've lost track of time, and I only use concealer. Now if you know me then I'm sure you can already guess what concealer I'm talking about, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus concealer. This product has such great coverage while feeling super light on my face. It has a natural glow, a satin finish, and one of the reasons why I still love it so much is that it never gets too "cakey" on my skin. It lasts through all sorts of weather thrown at my skin.

My absolute favorite concealer to use for spots is the Nars Soft Matte concealer. This guy has last me so long, I only ever need the tiniest amount and it covers my blemishes like magic. This concealer is a real life photoshop spot correcter! I've always had issues with thicker concealers building up on my blemishes and making it look dry. However, this one is always on my side.
I've opted to take a face pallet to make it easier on myself to carry fewer products. The Hourglass Ambient Lights Edit Volume 4 face pallet has basically everything I will need for face products all in one package. I am obsessed with the bronzer in this pallet and it's perfect for spring and summer. I always use the lighter powders to set underneath my eyes, I mix the two on the left side. If I choose to use a powder highlighter I have the option right there, along with two completely different blush shades. This has been the pallet I've been using the last couple of times I traveled and it's been super handy.

I'm still in love with the Glossier Wowder powder! This is normally my go-to face powder when I travel since it lasts so well through warm weather and keeps me relatively matte. It sets my face beautifully and it's never clung to any dry spots. It has been a wonderful face powder for myself, being an oily skin gal, and I've heard it's also a dry skins girl dream come true.
Even though the Hourglass face pallet includes two blush options I still wanted to take a new love of mine, the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in first love. I have another shade of this blush in my collection and I was completely obsessed with it. I couldn't put it down until I purchased this shade. CT has some stunning blushers and I admire the concept of them. The way you are meant to use these beauts are with using your blush brush, swish it around the outer color of the blush then pop the brush on the center color and apply to cheeks! It makes applying blush a lot more fun.

I know I'm a broken record over here, but I am in love with cream highlighters. My number one go-to is indeed the Glossier Haloscope highlighter. I own a few cream highlighters and this one by far is my most loved. The moisturizing balm in the center of the highlighter gives your skin the most glorious glow that I can't get enough of. I feel that it also helps melt the product a lot better into the skin. It's the most natural cream highlighter I've used and the shade Quartz is everything!

Getting close to the end, we can't forget eyebrow products! Eyebrows have become such a simple step in my routine the last month. I comb them up with a spoolie and use the Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow! cream-gel, and once they're done I set them with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. You see, so simple.

Finally, for lipsticks, I'm packing my favorite and most used lipsticks. All lipsticks are from Mac Cosmetics in the shades Ruby Woo the best red ever, Barbecue red-orange, and Only You pinky shade.
I've become quite good at only take the makeup brush I need. I'll be taking a total of four brushes; under eye setting brush, face powder brush, bronzer brush, and a blush brush. Would you believe me if I told you that I have totally ditched my Beauty Blender for the Real Techniques sponge? Well, believe it I have found a new love that is a fraction of the Beauty Blender price. It works amazing and I'm shocked when I say that it even blends out my concealer even better!

There you have it my essential travel makeup products I'm traveling with. What are some of your essential products?

    1. Thank you Imelda. I have really tried to cut down on what I travel with so I won't be so limited with space. This time around my makeup bag was so empty compared to ever before which was great since I used everything I packed for myself. It also helps that I don't have to pack anything for my eyelashes too.
