Sprinkles Cupcakes

Welcome to my first Food Series post of the year! Today I will be sharing one of my favorite cupcake shops that I have been to about a billion times, Sprinkles Cupcakes. I wasn't lying when I said I've probably been here millions of times. The first time I came here was either in 2007 or 2008. They have a great and very large selection of different cupcake flavors to choose from. Every so often and upon seasons/Holidays they release new limited edition flavors. They're each to die for and over the Holidays Rudy and I stopped by to pick up one of our favorite cupcake flavors. That was when it hit me, why haven't I shared a food series post on this bakery and then decided I would! Now please join me as I bring you along to Sprinkles Cupcakes!

Sprinkles Cupcakes was the world's first cupcake bakery that first started in Beverly Hills in 2005. Candace Nelson is the founder and pastry chef of Sprinkles Cupcakes and the bakery quickly became an overnight sensation with 22 locations nationwide. If you're not familiar with Candace you may recognize her as one of the judges from the television show Cupcake Wars. Candace and Sprinkles Cupcakes have a large following and fans including a ton of celebrity followers.
When you visit the bakery they offer a ton of classic flavors from vanilla, milk chocolate, strawberry, and red velvet. They also carry a lot of creative flavors such as chocolate marshmallow, banana peanut butter, Cuban coffee, lemon coconut, and salty caramel. During each season and Holidays the flavor changes. During the month of December, they carried chocolate peppermint, gingerbread (my favorite!), and a new release this season the Christmas cookie. Trust me when I say you can't go wrong with any of their favors. I really enjoy stopping by about once a month whenever they release a new flavor so I get to try it out.

Over the years Sprinkles Cupcakes started to sell other sweets like ice cream, cookies, and even layered cakes! The last couple of times I stopped by I also noticed they were selling candles too. Before I forget they even sell pupcakes, cupcakes specifically for your pup.
The bakery I always visit is the one located in Palo Alto. It's a very cute a simple shop. Inside the shop, they have a few merchandises for purchase. They have Candace's bake book for sale which I totally want, and they even sell some cupcake mixes for you to bake your own cupcakes at home!
During this visit, we went with intentions to pick up their gingerbread cupcake and also to try their new Christmas cookie cupcake. Down below you can see we picked up two of each and we also got the Cuban coffee cupcake and carrot. Unfortunately, the gingerbread and the Christmas cookie are seasonal and are no longer available. However, some of my favorite permanent flavors are red velvet, banana, vanilla milk chocolate, and salty caramel.
Some limited editions I favor and that you should keep an eye out for are their S'mores cupcake, Black Velvet, and Raspberry chocolate chip.
Have you ever visited a Sprinkles Cupcake shop? Thank you for joining me in this Food Series post. I hope to see you next time.
