Holidays At Universal Studios

Last weekend Rudy and I took a short trip to LA to celebrate the Holiday's a little early. One of the reasons was to visit Universal Studios Hollywood. We've been here a few times together in the past but never have we been during Christmas time. This year we decided it was an absolute must! We were looking forward to visiting Grinchmas and meeting the Grinch, which will be coming in a future post. We were also really looking forward to the lighting of the Hogwarts Castle! Rudy and I had so much fun, the weather was perfect and we now have so many happy memories. I was intending on capturing way more photos than I did, that just goes to show how much fun I was having and living in the moment. However, I still wanted to share with you some of the photos I did capture. I hope you enjoy these photos from my trip.

You guys probably have no idea how much I love the movie Trolls so when Rudy told me I could meet Poppy I nearly flipped the f*$k out! She was the sweetest ever and gave me the biggest hug! Rudy was going to snap a few photos of just me and her together but she really wanted him to be apart of the photo. She's so cute! Unfortunately, there was no Branch to be found.
We were given free VIP tickets to the Hollywood tour. One of my favorite parts of the tour is, of course, passing through the Bates Motel. Have I ever told you guys how much I love Norman Bates from the television series? Such an amazing show a must watch! Also, can you spot Norman Bates in the window?
And now for an never-ending spam of photos from Hogwarts! Apart from Whoville, Hogwarts was the second place Rudy and I spent most our time in. We watched wizards cast spells, drank Butterbeer multiple times, and enjoyed some rides. It's always so magical when we're here.
Last on our to-do list before leaving the park was to watch the Castle Lighting/Light Show in front of the Hogwarts Castle. This was the first time neither one of us were at the parks at night time and it was so worth it. The light show was amazing. There were ghosts dancing, owls flying around decorating the castle, snow falling, and even Harry Potter made a cameo. Truly magical, the show ended with a few fireworks, the castle completely lit and decorated for Christmas.
All the shops in Hogsmeade were decorated with lights for Christmas as well!
Have you ever visited Universal Studios during the Holidays? What was your favorite part of this post? Mine has to be the light show at Hogwarts. Next week I will be sharing even more festive Holiday inspired posts including a fun new pop-up I visited while in La along with Grinchmas! Stay tuned!

  1. Love, love, love!!! Ahh I LOVE Bates Motel, too! I miss that show. We were at Universal Orlando in November, and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas, too. This post definitely makes me want to back. :)

    1. Woo hoo, I love it when I have friends that share the love for Bates Motel as I do. I'm so sad it's over and rewatch it all the time on Netflix! My Husband and I would love to visit Universal Orlando! Their Harry Potter world is way bigger than the one in Hollywood!

    1. Thank you Imelda! I was obsessed with all the Christmas decor specifically in Hogsmead/Hogswart. And the light show in front of the castle! Night time photos of the castle are my favorite! I'm so excited to share the Grinchmas post!
