How I Embrace A Minimal Look

If I don't already sound like a broken record, then I will now. I don't enjoy wearing a lot of makeup as I once did. I'm not sure if this has to do with age? The last few years my makeup routine has only become more and more minimal as the time went on. Lately, I have really been embracing a more minimal natural look and I couldn't be any more pleased with the outcome. I've also been very lucky that my skin has been treating me so well which really allows me to be very minimal with my makeup. Recently I picked up a few new products and I have been using them religiously. Today I am going to share with you the products I have been absolutely loving and constantly reaching for in order to embrace a minimal look.
Starting off with a freshly cleansed face, I always begin with my eyebrows. Not much has changed here I'm still a pomade kind of girl and one of my favorites is the LA Splash UD Brow Mousse followed by the Glossier Boy Brow. Definitely one of my favorite brow gels. If I'm on a time crunch and I don't want to be bothered with using a pomade, I will use my trusty ABH Brow Wiz pencil. These are for sure some of my can't live without brow products. Make sure to check out my brow must have post, to hear more in-depth about my favorite eyebrow products.

Since October, I have had the luxury of not needing to worry about doing anything to my eyelashes (Curling them, applying mascara, and/or putting on false lashes.) because I now get eyelash extensions. This was something I had been wanting to do for over a year and finally brought myself to get them done. As I mentioned many times, I have very little and short lashes, applying falsies is a must and I was growing very tired of them. It feels great to wake up in the morning and already having my lashes ready to go. My lashes were the second step in my routine that took me the longest to do. They're life-changing! All I really have to do is brush them out. I'm thinking of dedicating an entire post to my lash extensions, let me know if that would be something you'd be interested in or if you have any questions you'd want me to answer.

I have been obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter primer. I have heard so many wonderful things about it and I finally decided to purchase it since I was in need of a new primer. This primer seriously gives you the most beautiful radiant, flawless, Hollywood look! (wink wink) I'm usually not a person who pushes pricy products for people to buy, but this is seriously something I wouldn't sleep on because it's so worth it. Everything I apply overtop of it glides on seamlessly and the glow from it shines so naturally. Ugh, I can go on for days about this beaut! This is hands down the product that I feel most enhances a natural look because it truly looks like your skin is glowing underneath the makeup you have on.

Little by little I have realized I have been weaning myself from wearing foundation. I hate the feeling and look of it on my skin, and in all honesty, I don't feel like I need it anymore. As I mentioned above my skin has been relatively well for the most part so all I typically do is a stripe or two of the Wet N Wild concealer on each cheek followed by spot concealing any blemishes if needed. This has been my favorite concealer for some time now, it never lets me down. It has the perfect amount of coverage and never ever does it look heavy on my skin. It has a lovely natural coverage.

Skipping right into face powder I prefer using a light-weight powder on my face even though I am on the more oilier side. Some powders can enhance some dry patches I may have on my face. I also despise when powders are noticeable on my skin. You may already know some of my all-time favorite face powders like the Wet N Wild Photofocus powder and the Glossier Wowder powder. A new recent purchase and love of mine is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder. This powder reminds me a lot of the other two powders I just mentioned. It is very fine, silky smooth, light on the skin, but sets everything so beautifully. It gives my skin a radiant glow while giving my face a satin finish. It's an absolutely stunning powder, highly recommend it if you're looking to splurge. It's been one I can't put down.

I've never owned a face pallet that I love as much as I do with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 pallet. I had my eye on this pallet along with the Unlocked one for a little while and finally picked this one up during the Sephora Rouge sale. This was most definitely a "treat-yo-self" purchase and I have absolutely no regrets. This pallet includes two face powders, two blushes, one highlighting powder and a bronzer. I've owned a few face pallets in the past but I never got much use of the entire thing. Though, with this pallet, I have been using every single powder! I'm already a big Hourglass lover and a huge fan of their ambient lighting powder. Their powders are super lightweight and natural looking on the skin. Hourglass is a cruelty-free luxury brand and recently they changed all their ingredients to also be vegan! It's been super easy to just grab this pallet and use it for setting my under eyes, applying my bronzer and blush, even highlighter if I chose to go for a powder highlighter. Plus it will be an excellent pallet to travel with since it's pretty much a one and done pallet.

Lastly, I have been a big fan of cream highlighters for a while now and I finally added the Hourglass Vanish Highlighting Stick to my collection. I have been using this guy nonstop since I got my hands on it. It glides on so nicely on the skin and it's so creamy, I can't stand cream products that applies blotchy on the skin only to move around any makeup that's underneath. Just like every other Hourglass product, this highlighter is so natural looking on the skin, have you noticed a theme yet, while giving you that glow from within.
I'd love to know if you've ever tried out any items from today's post? What products do you use that helps you embrace a minimal look?
