My Travel Makeup Bag!

Today I am going to have you guys join me as I pack my travel makeup bag. Since I'm going on a trip soon, I thought it would be a fun idea to show you guys what makeup products I usually take with me when traveling. In the past, whenever I had a vacation coming up I would always over pack everything. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed in case I wanted to use it while on vacation. Most times I wouldn't touch the extra items I packed. After countless trips, I began packing fewer items and now only carry the bare essentials. I've even downgraded the size of the makeup bag I carry. Since the way I've been applying my makeup has been very minimal over the last year or so, this came very easy for me to limit what I pack. I did want to add that some of the products in this post are not cruelty-free. These products are still in my collection and I'm still using since I do enjoy them. I haven't repurchased any products that are not creulty-free. Now without further adu, let's start.

I like to pack my makeup in the order I would apply it that way I won't forget anything. I begin with my eyebrow products. The Benefit Ka-Brow! is my go-to when traveling since I find the packaging to be ideal for traveling. It's small and a brush already comes with it which means one less item I'd have to pack. I also bring my Anastasia Brow Wiz for the spoolie end and of course the Glossier Boy Brow.

Next, I pack my eye products like my eyelash curler, mascara (I love traveling with the travel sized ones since they're so small they don't take up any space.), liquid eyeliner in a pen form so that I don't have to pack an extra brush and false eyelashes in this cute case since I can add different options along with eyelash glue.

For my face products, I like to give myself a couple more options. My go-to primer duo is always the Too Faced primed & peachy matte primer and the Smashbox photo finish radiance primer. I love the combo of a mattifying primer with a radiance one because it will keep my skin matte but the radiance primer also gives my skin a glow. Something I've really been into lately. Since I haven't been using foundation lately, I will skip packing it. When I'm not using foundation I'm usually using this combo of the Wet n Wild photo focus concealer along with the Tarte shape tape concealer. These two have seriously been my go-to combo for over a year now. For spot concealing, I'm obsessed with the Nars soft matte concealer. It does a fantastic job and concealing any blemishes without looking heavy on the skin.

I can't go anywhere without is the Glossier Wowder face powder. I love this powder so much that I have to force myself to use some of the other powders I own. This powder sets my makeup so beautifully and it helps keep my makeup in place for a long time. I love the way my skin looks by the end of the day. To set my under eyes I'm bringing my Hourglass Ambient Lighting pallet. This pallet comes with three different products and I like to travel with this because there is a powder to set my under eyes, a highlighting powder, and a more bronzy powder. I like to carry a loose powder in case I want to 'bake' areas of my face. I use the Too Faced Peach Perfect loose powder since it does a really great job at mattifying the skin, sometimes too good of a job, but it's great if you're going to be in hot weather.

The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is my favorite bronzer. I can't travel anywhere without this bronzer. I also take with me the Ciaté bamboo bronzer if I want to do any contouring, it's always nice to have that just in case plus the packaging is so small perfect for travel. I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned that I have been really into cream products specifically highlighters and I can't get enough of my Glossier Haloscope highlighter in Quartz! And lastly, I always carry two different colored blushes to mix and match with depending on my outfit. The Tarte blushes are my favorite to travel with because I own so many of their small sized ones from previous holiday sets. I always make sure to pack a more neutral nude blush and a peach one. For the peach blush, I'm taking my Hourglass Dim Infusion blush. Recently I have been obsessed with Hourglass all over again and I'm always reaching for their products when I'm getting ready.

Finally, to set my face I pack a setting spray that will prolong the wear of my makeup. One of my favorite setting sprays is the Milani Make It Last setting spray. It claims to have a 16-hour wear and it's always kept my makeup look beautiful all day long even in the hot California heat.
As for lipstick, I give myself three options. The shades I always travel with is a red, red-orange, and a nude. These MAC shades are my go-to and most times I'm wearing either one of these colors. Left to right; Lady Danger, Ruby Woo, and Only You; a limited edition shade.
I always bring my beauty blender with me along with a few different brushes. A flat top brush is the only brush I use for setting my face, I also carry the elf brush to set under my eyes, a fluffy bronzing brush, small brush to contour, blush brush, a brush for concealer and highlighter. Finally, a small angled brush to contour my nose.

Most of these products fit into my Glossier pink zip-up pouch. I love using these bags when I travel. Whatever doesn't fit goes straight into my makeup bag which is usually my powders, Hourglass pallet, setting spray and eyelash case.
I hope you enjoyed packing my makeup bag with me and for more content similar to this make sure to check out One Pampered Life blog post on how to organize your makeup bag. What are some products you can't travel without.

Butter bronzer is a staple in my collection! So good, I can use it year round but I get the most use around spring and summer. You'd love it.

    1. You shouldn't be! It's the perfect red to wear out. Although, I wouldn't be wearing it out to the pool or beach so I see what you mean on wearing it during a vacation. Only during an appropriate occasion.
